Kathleen Boyd

 

Kathleen Boyd recently re-launched her marketing and customer experience consulting firm,
Kathleen Boyd & Associates. The firm’s focus is on marketing analytics, branding and the digital
experience.

Until September 2019, Kathleen was Chief Marketing Officer for Houston Airport System,
focused on improving the customer experience and brand, for Hobby, Bush, and Ellington
Airports—and the Houston Spaceport. Her focus on the digital experience was recognized when
IAH was awarded the inaugural “Best Airport Website and Digital Experience” in the world by
Skytrax, the UK-based consultancy considered the gold standard in the aviation business. IAH
was the only U.S. airport to earn a top spot in a worldwide category at the Skytrax World
Airport Awards this year.

She launched her career at Continental Airlines, holding leadership positions in marketing,
branding, customer experience, and alliances. At Continental, she developed and implemented
its blue-and-gold globe brand, its revolutionary BusinessFirst, and alliances with Air France and
Alitalia.

Kathleen was named AMA Sysco Marketing Innovator 2017. Under her leadership, Houston
Airport System was awarded AMA Marketer of the Year – Transportation 2016 and 2017 and
received Airport Council International’s 2016 Customer Service Technology Innovation award.
Most significantly, in 2018 Houston became the only city in the western hemisphere to boast
two Skytrax 4-star rated airports. Kathleen also was named to the prestigious honorary
Bordeaux wine society, La Commanderie du Bontemps de Médoc et des Graves, for her award-
winning wine selections for Continental Airlines.
